The team behind this knowledge centre

AlertField designs and manufactures smoke alarms, heat detectors and connected fire-safety devices in Shenzhen. This website exists because the questions we answer most often are not about prices — they are about placement, sensing technology and certification.

Shenzhen AlertField Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is a fire-protection technology company. Our engineering team designs sensing chambers, signal-processing firmware, radio-interlink hardware and the plastic and mechanical assemblies around them. We build for other brands as well as for our own specifications, which means we spend our working lives inside the details that decide whether an alarm sounds at the right moment — and stays quiet when it should.

What we actually do

Sensing and electronics

Optical chambers, ionisation chambers, dual-sensor fusion, heat elements, electrochemical CO cells, signal processing that separates cooking smoke from a real fire signature.

Radio and connectivity

868 / 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz interlink, sub-1 GHz long-range mesh for large buildings, gateway firmware and notification logic for connected installations.

Certification engineering

Design-for-test from the first sketch: EN 14604 and EN 54-7 fire tests, UL 217 and UL 268 sensitivity trials, GB 20517, EMC, radio and environmental exposure.

OEM / ODM delivery

Tooling, injection moulding, PCBA, assembly, ageing, 100 % functional test and packaging — delivered to a customer's own certification and brand.

Why we publish a knowledge site

Most smoke-alarm failures we see in the field are not manufacturing failures. They are specification and installation failures: a photoelectric alarm mounted 40 cm from a hob, a 12-year-old sensor left on the ceiling because nobody wrote the date on it, a nine-volt battery removed to silence a nuisance alarm and never put back. Education prevents more fire deaths than any single product feature.

How we write this site

Every page is written by our engineering team, checked against the standards it references, and reviewed on a rolling schedule. Where national rules differ we say so instead of generalising. Where a claim depends on the specific product you buy, we point at the manufacturer's instructions rather than replacing them.

Working with us

  • Technical enquiries — sensing selection, false-alarm problems, standards interpretation. Answered within one working day.
  • Certification support — test plans, sample preparation, documentation packages for notified bodies and test houses.
  • OEM / ODM projects — from a reference sample to mass production with your certification and your brand.
  • Distributors and installers — specification support and training material for your team.

Use the contact page to reach the team directly. We do not run a sales call centre, and we do not pass enquiries to third parties.
